Filming: Friends playing PS3 and Aaron lip-syncing

Friends & PS3: I had my friend Ryan come round my house and we played on the PS3, having my brother film it. We mainly spoke to each other and goofed around. This is to bring a bit more realism to the music video. Although you don't see us two hugging there is clearly a connection between the two characters. The bit we did film for "Hold on" was Ryan holding the PS3 Controller.

Aaron: I drove into Sutton and met up with my friend Aaron to do lip-syncing. We tried to do a track shot in an alley but due to people walking in and out I had to move about a bit that might ruin the shot, plus Aaron was unable to do the lyrics in one shot as he kept messing up and will have to be fixed in editing.
I had Aaron hold the paper with the lyrics because in some music videos they hold their lyrics, but mostly in a studio. The reason I had this outside is because it relates to the genre and the fact he might not be a professional singer in the music video, and merely someone venting their feelings.
I feel Aaron might have gone a bit slow which might mean we have to re-shoot his bit.

  1. Lee, I am very concerned that your blog is generally ALL text. It will not move up into Level 3 / 4 if you keep it like this. Push the medium of the blog to show off it's full capabilities. You could so easily enhane this with some still frames taken from your footage, sketches, STORYBOARDS to show your ideas... At the moment, it is rather dull to work through, and hard for the reader to get a sense of your process.

I STRONGLY advise you to spend more time including more visual information.
