Some ideas for the Music Video: Editing

Editing is a hard one because some shots can go on for too long or not long enough. I feel that the editing should go with the song in a way but because of the lyrics being rapped that would mean a shot for every 1 or 2 seconds, meaning it will go too fast.
I feel some shots should go in slowly, such as two hands moving towards each other, then cut to the artist, then cut to the hands holding each other, thus extending the hand section while not making it seem that long by splitting it with a clip in between, which is done in some Music Videoes.
